Iron is not making of railway tracks? Why?​

  • Iron doesn't have the rigidity and strength required to provide the required stability and to withstand the load of a train.
  • At the same time it get corroded easily, therefore its life gets shortened.
  • All these characteristics are possessed by its cousin Steel, hence preferred.
