Iron particles in a mixture of iron and sulphur are attracted by a magnet.However,the iron particles in iron sulphide are not attracted.Why?

Coz iron is least reactive

Iron in iron sulphide is in the form of compound. iron had reacted with sulphur to form iron sulphide.nd is in the combined form.

so,it didn't attract by magnet.


where as iron is in free state so it is attracted.
