22/7 is a rational number (its in fractional form)
3.14 or
\pi
is an irrational number.
3.14 is actually the number π rounded to two decimal places, and is not the true value of π.

Both numbers are rational .
Because

Every number which is written Or can be written in P/Q form is called Rational Number.

22/7 & 3.14

Here 22/7 is written in p/q form and 3.14 can be written as 314/100 (p/q form) .

Is 5 rational or Irrational ???????

5 can be written as 5/1 . so it is a rational number.

3*********

Irrational Number

which can't be written in p/q form

Example
