80/27 is non-terminating decimal

We know that if the denominator of a rational number i.e in p/q form has no prime factors other than 2 or 5, then it can be expressed as a terminating, otherwise it has non - terminating repeating decimal representation. Thus, we will have to check the prime factors of the denominators of each of the given rational numbers.

In , the given expression 80/27 denominator is 27.

27 = 3×3×3.

Thus, 30 has only 3 as prime factors.

Hence, it has a non terminating decimal representation.

∴ Terminating decimal representation of  \frac{80}{27} = 2.96296296296
