no because

5-6=6-5

Answer:

The given mathematical statement in the question is partially true.

Explanation:

The equation will only fulfill when the numerical values of a and b are exactly same.

For example;

if a=b=5

Then;

a-b = 5-5= 0

b-a = 5-5 = 0

LHS = RHS (proved)

But if the numerical values of a and b are not exactly same ,the equation will not fulfill the mentioned criteria in the question.
