Is a line parallel to itself? becoz the definition states that there should be no common point between parallel lines but the line would have infinite number of common points with itself ,so how can it be? pls do explain.

see , a line is a collection of points. so line is just a straight dark collection of points. in parallel lines there is no connection . so parallel lines can't meet. While a normal line is a straight dark collection of points. so no line can't be parallel to itself.
