Is a tisse entirely different from a cell in its fnctios?

Cells are the functional unit of the body of an organism.The tissues are the group of cells which perform any specific function.The function of the cell is similar to the tissue it forms.For example ,Nerve cells makes Nerve tissue which has a common function i.e.to transmit nerve signals from brain to any body part and vice versa.
