Yes the Allahabad pillar inscription in Sanskrit..... becz at that time Sanskrit was the only one language that was popular among Kings.....

Chandragupt known as Maharaja Adiraj becz he was the friendly and favourite King for the people of his kingdom....And he also described about his on that pillars sights and noticed....

Yes the language in which the inscriptions written were in Sanskrit but later known to be written in Brahmi language.
