for doing or commiting sins..the
person shall go to hell in his afterlife
..which has history in civilizations like
The Egyptians..the greeks..etc.
Like god,in whom we,in our religion
believe and we keep off from commiting
bad sins and be wise ..hell is said to be the
place for criminals and and sinners..
who have done very bad things in their life.
in my opinion,the hell we call is in our bad

This sounds weird if someone says that there's a place where we can't go like Hell and Heaven...
But Yes, there's Heaven and Hell because we have our imagination powers like we can only imaging those things that lies in universe like if you imagine the story of Alice In The Wonder Land......You are aware of those characters and you definitely know those character because those creature and place really exists on this universe......
We can only imagine those things that really exist like you imagine about other galaxy because that lies in universe.....

And the thigh Hell means Inferno and you can find out more intresting facts about hell like there are 9 Hells and what are Sins etc from
Dante's Inferno or other Spiritual Books
But Yes,Hells are there and if you done any of sin then you have to go there for your punishment..
