The base of a cylindrical vessel measures 300cm2, water is poured into it upto a
depth of 6cm. Calculate the pressure of water on the base of the vessel. (g=10 m/s2;
density of water = 1000 kg/m3)

We know that P = ρgh

where,
ρ = density of water = 1000 kg/m³
g = acceleration due to gravity = 10 m/s²
h = height = 6 cm = 0.06 m

As P = ρgh
        = 1000 x 10 x 0.06
        = 600 kg/ms
²
        = 600 Pa

threfore, pressure = 600 Pa
