 \large \tt AHOY!! \:

given area of the rhombus = 84m²

perimeter of the rhombus = 40m

therefore length of the side if the rhombus = 40/4 (since rhombus has 4 equal sides)

= 10m

there are two formulas for the area of a rhombus. one is 1/2×d1×d2 where d1 and d2 are the diagonals of the rhombus. and another one is base × altitude where base is the side of the rhombus.

here we have to find the altitude of the rhombus, so we will use the second one.

=> base × altitude = 84m²

=> 10 × altitude = 84m²

=> altitude = 84/10

=> altitude = 8.4m

hence, the altitude of the rhombus is 8.4m

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

given area of the rhombus = 84m²

perimeter of the rhombus = 40m

therefore length of the side if the rhombus = 40/4 (since rhombus has 4 equal sides)

= 10m

there are two formulas for the area of a rhombus. one is 1/2×d1×d2 where d1 and d2 are the diagonals of the rhombus. and another one is base × altitude where base is the side of the rhombus.

here we have to find the altitude of the rhombus, so we will use the second one.

=> base × altitude = 84m²

=> 10 × altitude = 84m²

=> altitude = 84/10

=> altitude = 8.4m

hence, the altitude of the rhombus is 8.4m
