IS blind faith good or bad? Discuss with reference to the story "A Letter To God
Answers
Answer:
Faith is always blind. Faith is beyond man’s intellect. Faith is intuitive. Faith actually is silent trust in the Power that has created such a vast and complex universe. Faith is the acknowledgement of the existence of this power and a natural conviction that this Power is good. So people who have true faith, they work miracles.
It is quite true Lencho had deep faith in God. Although, Lencho’s entire corn crop was damaged in the hailstorm, yet he was optimistic about receiving God’s help. He did not sulk, whine and pine; rather he wrote a letter to God for help. And quite miraculously, the help arrived in the form a money order. If Lencho would not have such a faith, he would not have received miraculous help.
Answer:
Bind faith in God is good as well as bad. Blind faith is good as it gives hope to people in difficult time. When nothing is left with the one its the hope that keep him going. Like in lesson even after everything destructed Lencho had faith and that kept him going. Blind faith in god is also bad as if a person in blind faith sits idle with hope of help from God won't be able to make out anything. We all know God helps those who help themselves. In lesson lencho having blind faith in God would have sent god letters on letters and if post officers were not that kind hearted people he might have slowly lost everything. Instead of sitting idle he should have started finding some solutions to problems along with faith in God and hope of getting some help and support in his work from God.
