Is CaO+H2O----->Ca(OH)2 redox reaction?

As far as I know chemistry I think that this is not a redox reactions because here the two things are combining themselves to make one single compound which is lime water I had also ask to my teacher about that and she said the same thing when two things combine it is combination or synthesis reaction here we cannot say that calcium is being oxidized to calcium oxide and something is being reduced so I think that as far I am concerned with chemistry I think that it is a wrong answer and I hope that I had helped do you even for all those things that I had said to you and for them I am extremely sorry I do not know how to apologize but still if you have the heart to forgive me it would be a pleasure for me
