Answer:

No, a centre of curvature and the radius of curvature is not the same.

Explanation:

As the definition of Centre of curvature is:-

The centre of the imaginary spherical mirror in which a mirror is a part is known as the centre of curvature. It is denoted by C. IN the case of concave mirror the the centre of curvature is in the front of it and in the case of convex mirror it is in behind of it.

&

Radius of curvature:- The radius of the imaginary spherical mirror in which a mirror is a part, is called the radius of the curvature.

Hope its help...

Hey mate*

Topic :- GEMOETRICAL OPTICS!

Intro:- a very important chapter as per JEE is concerned!!

But if you are in 10th or other classes,

Better chapter for boards!

Kindly understand me if you can!

Yes, they both are same as,

In CONCAVE MITROR OR CONVEX MIRROR,

There are three most important elements that are.

POLE,CENTRE OF CURVATURE,FOCUS

POLE lies on the point of surface where the principal axis intersect the mirror, lens!

FOCUS lies in the center of COC AND POLE.

And center of curvature is the central point of sphere of which it’s a part!

So,

Final conclusion is

Yes COC IS a radius of the concave and convex mirror!!

Thanks !!!’

All the best!
