since, charge has only magnitude but not definite direction, charge is a scalar quantity.

Electric charge is a scalar quantity as its direction is irrelevant........furthermore vectors follow triangle law of vector addition......electric charge does not obey triangle law of vector addition so it is a scalar quantity.
