Absolutely. For survival we need water. Just think of things you do in the morning until you sleep. Everything is connected with fluids or water in some manner.
For instance - we get up in the morning and our eyes are watery. we go and brush our teeth-- we require water.we eat food-food is cooked with water.we drink water,wash clothes with water, industries and agricultural sector needs water.
So, drawing out water from underground and consuming it is necessary. If we use water judiciously we can conserve it for the posterity if not we may fall short of it in future
