Endo means "to inside"
Exo means "to out"
osmosis means "diffusion of water"
In isotonic medium the concentration of salt is same as the cell .so water is remains same as before in the cell.
In hypertonic medium the cell shrinks because the concentration of solute is moee outside the cell here exosmosis takes place(movement of water from cell to outside of the cell)
In hypotonic solution concentration of solute is more in cell as compared to cell so ,exosmosis takes place(movement of water from water to cell) results that the cell swells.
