No. With proper glasses or contact lenses someone with -6 correction should achieve normal vision of 6/6 or better.
Without correcting lenses you would be legally blind in most countries (Despite Rechal’s partially correct statement in her comments - if you go driving without your glasses, you won’t be deemed legal anywhere!).
