FIT is a vocational subject in CBSEIt is used in case you are failing in maths or science or sst.Its compulsory to pass in languages.

Yes, for class 10, CBSE it is an additional subject but if your school opted it then you are bound to give the exam because your admit card will enroll it.
But the benefit is that if you fail in any one of main subjects but pass in F.I.T. then you will be overall pass.
