(If you’re asking if people are doing what they can to fight the corona virus effectively, it really all depends.) Doctors, nurses and medical workers are working around the clock, non-stop, and doing all that they can to help cure those who have been infected. Vaccines for the virus are being tested on in labs. But many citizens aren’t listening to the obvious sign: stay home. With businesses and schools and social gatherings being closed, this is obviously a wake up call for citizens to stay indoors. But many aren’t listening to the WHO, CDC, or other public service announcements. As citizens, we must do our job in trying to take part of controlling the spread of illness by staying as home as much as possible, keeping a safe distance, washing our hands often, covering our coughs, and if ever feeling sick, calling 911 or 311. People in the United States (more so recently Florida) have been seen at the beach partying and going into the ocean, ignoring all advice from experts. This virus shouldn’t be taken lightly at all, having taking the lives of at least 81,000 people so far. As experts are foing what the can, us citizens need to play our role too.
