no fighting is not only way of resolving conflicts and best example of that is mahatma gandhi who used non violence as his weapon and result is u can see

As I see it, fighting is the worse way to resolve a conflict. If we look back at History fighting in wars or against other people suggest that it ends in a horrible way for one party or potentially both. Furthermore in religion fighting is seen as a cowardly thing to do and some religions suggest that fighting shows a person temper and how they can't control themselves. However, fighting for entertainment is allowed by religion. 

Other methods can be much more accepted and mutually acceptable. Negotiations and trade or just simple allowance of land or rights are more effective than fighting.

However, people see fighting as a last resort. Like a nail in a coffin or a direct message to a person.
