Explanation:

1. Sometimes good handwriting can hide mistakes

It is a common strategy of students, while writing answers in the examination, students attempt those questions in which they feel confident.

So, when an examiner finds first 10 answers in neat and clean handwriting with all relevant points then he or she will give full marks to those 10 answers.

Now, when the examiner arrives at 11th answers and the 11th answer is not upto date (or has less point or error), then chances are there that the student will get full marks for 11th answer too.

2. Good handwriting shows high confidence level

Some people (or teacher) have certain assumptions in their mind like students writes answers in poor handwriting when they don’t know the answer correctly or they don’t know the complete answer.

Sometimes, the person with good handwriting gets the advantage of such assumptions and may end up getting good marks in incomplete answers.

But, there is a high possibility that students with neat and clean handwriting may get more than average marks and students with untidy handwriting may get low marks for a correct and well written answer.

So, while writing answers in CBSE board examinations student should write in neat and clean handwriting.

Answer:

Handwriting does not possess a problem in boards, although it should be readable.

Thing which matters is presentation.

Its advisable if your handwriting is good and you write well with proper spaces and indentation as although handwriting does not carry any marks in boards (its not like 5 marks for good handwriting :P) but Examiner is a human and its natural that :

Anyone would love to check answer sheet having decent handwriting, proper spaces etc

Examiner has to check many answer sheets in a limited time, hence if your presentation is good, you will be rewarded positively.

Its saying First Impression is the last impression. Same is the case with answer sheet, good handwriting and presentation creates a good impression which indirectly helps in scoring good marks.

Examiner often ignore answers with lots of cutting and written badly with in the sense of writing and looks, try to focus on that.

As long as your writing is average and presentation is decent, you need not to worry as Examiner know time constraints wwhich often lead to bad handwriting in Exam and mostly Exam sheets have average handwriting but sheet with good presentation and decent handwriting will surely leave a good mark.

Note : presentation and handwriting are two different things.

Don't worry, handwriting does not carry any specific weightage in Boards.

Hope this helps
