Hostel is good for girls as well as bad.
It's good because it let girls to live freely and little independently,there they understand their duties and will learn to manage things themselves and in some hostels there are no televisions that is other benefit as that will keep their mind away from these gadgets and they will move towards some physical activities.

But it's bad also as if a girl is bad in the sense means she is talking bad and shameless things like that of boys and girls and also play and know everything about bad truth and dares and whose minds is fully polluted with these bad talks and gossips and wear very short-very short to make themselves so smart that to attract boys towards them so definitely when she will go to a hostel then she will definitely do something bad by which she will be insulted in the society.

So it depends on the girl's attitude and her style of living.
