Yes it is .

Having said that , i would also like to add that its a wonderful journey .

Right after you pass your 10th , there are lakhs of students , boasting

of their CGPA , then there are scholarship tests organised by various

coaching centers, its all so thrilling and enticing , a school student just

thrown into all this competition , suddenly people around you , your parents ,

teachers , relatives , stress on focusing on your studies and before you know it

your life is full of Modules , DPPs , and reference books .

Your friends join Reputed Coaching centers and you then have two choices..

join one yourself in one hell of a place called kota or stay in your hometown

and savor your time with your parents and loved ones.

Tests start flooding your life , Homework load keeps piling up ,

Slowly you begin to hate your life , mocking the toppers for studying so hard,

making jokes about how you don’t study and sleep for hours , then you get used to it

and accept the fact that you can never reach that wonderful place that everyone

speaks of so appreciatively called IIT.

But then …..

You Crack a question that nobody in your class could , or you top a test , or clear a Olympiad , and that feeling …..

THAT FEELING is what keeps you going !

JEE (knowingly or unknowingly) becomes your dream , you start working hard

maybe give up your sleep , keep track of time , practice problems like a maniac ,

hoping that you’ll get through and life will be as people say it is in IIT.

There are Innumerable Ups and inevitable downs , there is rush , excitement ,

zeal and zest all mixed up , and then there are teenage hormones messing around

in your body , there are ridiculous exams called Boards , seniors keep guiding you in different directions , you hunt for a shortcut but end up with wasted time ,

all this stuff keeps happening while you struggle to keep your balance as though

you are walking on a tight rope tied across the twin towers.

But then….

You make some very close friends , you practice the art of time management ,

you learn how to pour all your energy in a particular task and extract the most

out of your effort . You celebrate after a good result , party after an Olympiad ,

and have the most fun watching that movie after every test .

JEE gives you direction when you need it , when you are lost

it gives you purpose ( if you are still searching for one)

it gives you memories you will cherish for life

it gives you hope, takes it away , and gives some back again.

And it really doesn’t matter if you get through or not because believe it or not

The journey is more awesome than the destination.
