Answer:

It's our own ocean. Because there are other oceans like Arabian Ocean which is nearer to Arabian Peninsula. Bay of Bengal is nearer ro Bangladesh. Indian ocean has even the name of India. And Therefore Indian Ocean is India's own ocean
