Iodine and water is a homogeneous mixture.

•Iodine gets completely dissolved in water. Thus all the components in solution are in the same phase and hence it is a homogeneous mixture.

•The mixture is a combination of two or more elements which do not chemically react with each other.

•A homogeneous mixture is a mixture which has all its components in the same phase.

Example - vinegar.

•A heterogeneous mixture is a mixture in which all components of the mixture are not in the same phase.

Example - sand in water solution.
