is it likely that someone who is original and intelligent does not do very well at schooil? Should such a learner nbe called a failure? If not why not?

someone who tries at least gets a parcitate grade and is not a failure

Yes,maybe the person's intelligence and talent lies in some other area.No never people like them should never be called a failure because we don't know maybe they will become more popular and in high post than us.
