cuz even time increases so acceleration may remain constant with increasing velocity.

For example if car starts moving with a velocity of 10m/s in 5 seconds the its acceleration would be

v-u/t = 10/5 = 2 m/s

Now the velocity has increased to 20 m/s in 5 seconds then the acceleration would be

v-u/t = 20-10/5 = 2 m/s
