Is it possible for a hydrogen atomic no. 1 and mass no. 1 to emit an alpha particle ..give reason for your answer??

yes it is possible because hydrogen atomic number is one so mass no is also 1

An alpha particle is the nucleus of He atom so it contains two neutrons and two protons. Hydrogen has three isotopes, out of which Deuterium has two neutrons but it can not have two protons so it is not possible for hydrogen atom to emit alpha particle
