We know that, Work done = Force × Displacement.

Yes, it is possible that a force acts in a body yet work done is zero. That is,

let a body of mass m is at rest. If we apply some Force on it from the above, then the displacement is zero. Work done = Force × 0 = 0.

Hence, proved.
