Answer:

Condition for a possible triangle

Sum of any sides MUST ALWAYS BE GREATER THAN THE THIRD SIDE

Now

  • let a = 10 cm
  • let b = 12 cm
  • let c = 2 cm

Now let us try the conditions

For possible triangle

1st condition =

a+b > c (condition)

22 cm > 2 cm (correct)

Hence 1st condition is satisfied

2 nd condition =

b+c>a

14 cm > 10 cm (correct)

Hence 2nd condition is also satisfied

3 rd condition =

c + a > b

12 cm > 12 cm

\small\boxed{\fcolorbox{purple} {red}{False}}

Since the third condition is not satisfied so triangle is NOT POSSIBLE.
