Yes it is necessary bcoz we have done some or the other fault sometimes .So forgiving those people will actually mean forgiving yourself bcoz u r also faulty just like that person.So there is an equality between both and so we should learn to forgive and give a chance to others.However if they misutilize the chance they should not be forgiven.
