When considering the motion of two or more bodies, motion is relative. For example, two cars are travelling with same speed. For a person on the ground, both cars are moving. But, to an observer in one car, the car is at rest.
Suppose a block is kept in a lift. A person on ground would say that the block is going up, but a person in the lift would say the block is stationary
