Oxidation reaction can be endothermic or exothermic.

Exothermic: combustion of hydrocarbons, thermite rxn, burning a reactive metal for example sodium in air.

Endothermic: burning a less reactive metal in air.

mostly oxidation reaction is exothermic.

i hope it will help you

"Exothermic reaction:

If chemical reactions release energy to their surroundings, it is called as exothermic reactions. In this reaction, the temperature will increase during the progress of reactions. Enthalpy change is negative. For example, respiration process.

Endothermic reactions:

If the chemical reactions absorb the heat energy from their surroundings, it is called exothermic reactions. In this reaction, the temperature will decrease during the progress of reactions. For example, photosynthesis process."
