no oxygen is not produced when metal react with dilute acid.



when metal react with dilute acid form hydrogen gas.

for eg .

Ca + HCl ( diluted ) => CCl2 +H2

no when metals react with dilute acids then produces salt and hydrogen . E.G-mg+HCl=mgCl+hydrogen
