No. The Hydrogen gas (H2) is produced when the metals reacts with dilute acid. We can even check whether the gas is hydrogen or not.
Take a burning matchstick and take it towards the beaker (where you have done the experiment) and the matchstick will blow with a 'pop' sound indicating the sound is Hydrogen (H2).
