Hi friend,
Your answer:
We all know that Sanskrit is our mother language, the root of many of our languages. But still, less than 1% Indian students use Sanskrit and prefer the use of Hindi over it. There are almost no Sanskrit speakers in our country's north-east parts, Jammu and Kashmir, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Kerala and even Gujarat.
But let me tell you a fact - Sanskrit is not that difficult to be learned. These are just baseless myths spread among people that Sanskrit is difficult to learn. In fact, Sanskrit is quite easy and fun to be learned. The reason for lack of eagerness in students for opting for Sanskrit lies in the fact that it has not been taught properly or taught badly in schools. In schools, the learning of Sanskrit is based on only understanding the text and remembering dry grammar rules and their application in translation exercises which makes it difficult in learning a lively language like Sanskrit.
If taught in a proper manner, learning Sanskrit can be fun. Its learning process should be built on exposure to the lively flow of the language, and relevant aspects and rules of grammar should be taught in between. Repeated exposure to the live flow of the language through listening, speaking, reading and writing, eases the learning process to a large extent. Seminars and conferences should be organized so that students can get a chance to learn new techniques to understand Sanskrit language better.
To explain this better, let me give you the example of our mother tongue. Suppose my mother tongue is Odia. So, how did I learn and got acquainted with it? Surely, its not by learning dry grammar rules or by memorizing dreary long lists of vocabularies or understanding the concept of verbal roots and words derivations. I learnt it by listening to my elders speaking around me. Then I slowly grasped the words and started speaking it. In this way, if one learns Sanskrit through a live flow of the language, then it becomes quite easy to use.
Hence, I dont agree that Sanskrit is difficult to learn when compared to Hindi.

च छ ज झ ञ

य र ल व श ष स ह
Numerals:

One १ एकः
Two २ द्वौ
Three ३ त्रयः
