No they are different:

Sector

  • A sector is the area of the circle enclosed by two radii of any arc.
  • The angle between these two sector can be anything ranging 0 to 360 degree
  • The sector only becomes a quadrant if the angle between two radii is 90 degree

Quadrant

  • A quadrant has an exact area of 1/ 4 th of the circle
  • The quadrant is the sector separated by 90 degree
