Explanation:

Tertiary sector is playing a vital role in the development of Indian economy. The production in this sector has increased he most in last thirty years compared to the other two sectors. In the year 2003, this sector has been declared as the largest producing sector superseding the primary sector. The following points will justify the statement.

1. In any country , the basic services like water, transport, health and education, postal services, police and administrative services are necessary. The demand for these services are increasing in India too which has been provided by the government to a large extent.

2. The development of agriculture and industry leads to the growth of services like transport, trade storage etc.The greater the growth of the agricultural and industrial sectors the more would be the demand for these services.
