Hey,
Acceleration due to gravity can be both negative and positive.
If an object is thrown against the gravity, acceleration due to gravity will be negative and if an object is thrown downside and in the gravity, gravity due to acceleration will be positive.
Like, when you throw an object vertically upwards, 'g' will be negative and when you will thrown the ball downside, 'g' will be positive.
Initial velocity cannot be negative, so no examples can be given.
Well, an example when initial velocity is positive and 'g' is also positive is when you throw a ball from terrace. Initial velocity and 'g' both will be positive.
Hope it helps...!!!
