Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

eq(1)= 2x+3y=9                      2x+3*17=9

2x=9-3y                                  2x=9-51

x=9-3y/2                                 2x=-42

put x value in eq (2)               x=-21

3(9-3y/2)+4y=5

27-9y+8y/2=5

27-y=10

-y=-17

y=17

if you want to check if both values are right you put both values in the first two equations

eq(1)2x+3y=9

2(-21)+3(17)=-42+51=9

eq(2)3x+4y=5

       3(-21)+4(17)=-63+68=5

hence the values are verified
