Definitely, future road route plans are going to be great help and will play their part to give benefit .
They will help for quicker transportation of the materials and things within the country and will also help for traveling purpose and make a better connection between different cities.
Moreover these route plan would be great help when traveling to neighboring countries , the import and export business will also become easy through them.
The land route are alternative of the sea routes when it comes to the linked nearby countries because sea routes takes longer distance and time.
But if you are talking about very far away countries then the sea route have it's importance in this regard.

The CPEC (China–Pakistan Economic Corridor) future route plan is 3,218 km lengthy route that will be embodied by highways, railways and pipelines.
Modern transportation networks built under CPEC will link seaports in Gwadar and Karachi with northern Pakistan, as well as points further north in western China and Central Asia. A 1,100-kilometre long motorway will be built between the cities of Karachi and Lahore as part of CPEC, while the Karakoram Highway between Rawalpindi and the Chinese border will be completely reconstructed. The Karachi–Peshawar main railway line will also be upgraded to allow for train travel at up to 160 km per hour by December 2019. Pakistan's railway network will also be extended to eventually connect to China's Southern Xinjiang Railway in Kashgar.
This future route is definitely far better than the sea route as the sea route involves going around the Indian sub-continent through the Pacific Ocean across Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Cambodia and then enter the Indian Ocean and Arabian sea through the Persian Gulf route to reach Pakistan from China. It also takes a longer time than the CPEC future route. The new rail, sea freight will cut logistics cost, including that of transport, by 50 percent.
