it is neither true nor false it was further corrected by another scientist and last this proposal was named as neo-lamarkism theory

it says that when accuried character making change in gene by therefore it passes to net generation this happens when a change is first made in somatic cells and after that it passes and makes a change in germ cells that is reproductive ceels therfore this change is paased thorugh next generation and a new change is produced
