Answer:

Moon is a solid and a natural object which "revolves around a planet" also called a "natural satellite". The "largest moon", in our "solar system" is "Jupiter’s Ganymede" whose diameter is a whooping 5,262 kilometres. Jupiter is not only the largest planet of the solar system but also has the largest amount of natural satellites- 79 moons to be precise! Ganymede was discovered by Galileo Galilei in 1610. It takes "7.1 days" to complete "one orbit" around Jupiter. The name “Ganymede” is derived from Greek mythology Ganymede- a Trojan youth who was considered so beautiful to have been taken away by Zeus. The surface of Ganymede is considered as having two different types younger areas that are light and other darker areas.
