Let the radius of the sphere be doubled i.e. 2x

Now, As we know..

Surface area of sphere= 4×pi×(r)^2

= 4×pi×(2x)^2

= 4×pi×4x^2

= 16×pi×x^2

Therefore, its surface area will increase 16 times .
