Yes, there are. There are over 300 species of them but there are three familiar families of blind snakes: The typhlopidae, The Leptotyphlopidae and the Anomalepidae.

The typhlopidae are most common of these and generally called the ‘blind snakes’

Indotymhlops braminus, commonly known as the brahminy blind snake is a nonvenomous blind snake species found mostly in Africa and Asia, but has been introduced in many other parts of the world. It is the most popular specie of blind snakes.
