Answer:

yes... we can convert ionic into polar one.

Explanation:

as we know that NaCl is an ionic compound having no charge in this state. When it is dissolved in polar solvent like water it dissociates into Na+ and Cl- ions which have positive and negative polarity respectively.Oxygen bearing partial negative charge attract sodium ion and hydrogen having positive charge is attracted by chloride ion thus producing dipole forces. So in such a way ionic compound such as SODIUM CHLORIDE becomes polar compound. as according to the fact that POLAR SOLVENTS DISSOLVES ONLY POLAR COMPOUNDS IN IT.

Explanation:

In chemistry, an ionic compound is a chemical compound composed of ions held together by electrostatic forces termed ionic bonding. The compound is neutral overall, but consists of positively charged ions called cations and negatively charged ions called anions. These can be simple ions such as the sodium (Na+) and chloride (Cl−) in sodium chloride, or polyatomic species such as the ammonium (NH+

4) and carbonate (CO2−

3) ions in ammonium carbonate.
