No, there will be no change in the density of a substance with any change in it's shape and size.
- According to the definition of the density of the substance,we can establish the following mathematical equation,
Density = Mass / Volume
- So, the numerical value of the density is dependent on the numerical values of the mass and the volume.
- And, changing shape and size of the substance will not affect the numerical value of the density of that substance. If the mass decreases the volume will also decrease accordingly and the value of density will stay constant.
