Is there any difference between holding company or subsidiaries co or not?

yes there is difference between holding company and subsidiary company :

A company is said to be a holding company if it holds more than 50%(says 51% or more) of the equity share capital of some other company, or has controlling voice in the management of that company .

whereas a subsidiary company is a company in which the holding company:

a) controls the composition of the Board of Directors; or

b) Controls more than one-half of the share capital either at it's own or together with or more of its subsidiary companies.
