There is no shortcut way to solve number series.

Number series is a chapter in IQ/MAT/Logical Reasoning.

There are some ways which can help you some:-

• You can practice any logical reasoning chapter such as Number series from indiabix.com which is a very good website for practicing.

Most of the questions in number series include the following patterns:-

• Same number is subtracted from all numbers [5,4,3....]. (-1)
• Same number is added to all numbers[7,8,9....]. (+1)
• Same number is multiplied to all numbers[6,12,24....]. (*2)
• Same number is divided to all numbers[32,16,8...]. (/2)
• Increasing number is subtracted from all numbers [32,31,29,26...]. (-1, -2, -3....)
• Increasing number is added to all numbers [2,3,5,8......]. (+1,+2,+3)
• Increasing number is multiplied to all numbers [2,2,4,12,48....]. (*1,*1,*3,4......)
• Increasing number is divided to all numbers [30,30,15,5]. (/1,/2,/3)
• Similarly decreasing numbers can be added, subtracted, multiplied, divided
• Physical series [12,21,13,31,14,41.....] (After 12 we get 21 which is reverse, 12+1=13 we get 13 and after that we get its reverse which is 31 )
